Poem: Song Of The Sirens
Water, all around,
Kiss us, we’ll pull you down,
Hoping you might drown
In the ocean’s waves.
And you’ll hear our song
Where you don’t belong,
Captivated, you’ll float our way.
Watching you sail by,
We’ll call out a pity cry,
’Save us’, but it’s you who’ll die
In the ocean’s graves.
For we always will
Seek you out to kill
With the moonbeams to light our way.
Ship-wreck on the shore,
Heart beats, no more,
Lain down on the sea floor,
For an endless age.
You know who we are
Yet you journey far,
So we sit here waiting for you.
